Bridgerton-Inspired Songs for Your Wedding or Sweet 16
September 2, 2026

Since Bridgerton, I get asked for the same thing almost every week. A modern song, but played like it belongs in a ballroom. It is one of the best things to happen to string music in years, and it works far better than most people expect.
But not every song survives the translation. Here is what I have learned from playing these arrangements at weddings and Sweet 16 parties across Central Florida.
Why It Works
A pop song lives on its production: the beat, the layers, the voice. Strip all that away and what is left is the melody. Songs with a strong melody become more emotional on violin, not less, because there is nothing left to hide behind.
That is also why the choice matters. A song carried by its rhythm rather than its melody tends to feel thin when it is played on strings.
Songs That Translate Beautifully
The ones I am asked for most
- Enchanted, Taylor Swift
- Wildest Dreams, Taylor Swift
- Love Story, as an orchestral waltz
- A Thousand Years, Christina Perri
- Halo, Beyonce
- Yellow, Coldplay
- Rewrite the Stars, The Greatest Showman
- Until I Found You, Stephen Sanchez
Where to Use Them
For a wedding, these arrangements are strongest during the prelude and the entrance of the wedding party. They give guests something familiar arriving in an unfamiliar form, which is exactly the feeling you want before the ceremony begins.
For a Sweet 16 or quinceañera, they work best in the entrance and the formal dance, where the room is watching and the music has to carry weight.
One Thing to Watch
It is tempting to build an entire event out of these arrangements. I would not. The effect depends on contrast. When every song is a modern pop piece in string form, the trick stops feeling special by the fourth one.
Two or three placed at the right moments will be remembered. Twelve will blend together.
If Your Song Is Not on the List
Most of these arrangements did not exist until someone asked for them. If there is a song that matters to you, tell me and I will arrange it for your event. That is part of every experience I create.
Planning a celebration in Orlando, Kissimmee or Central Florida? Tell me your date and your venue and I will help you map the music.
