Special Celebrations
For Every Reason to Gather
Milestone birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, and the celebrations that do not need a reason.

Not every celebration worth remembering is a wedding. Some of the warmest rooms I play are the ones people plan for someone they love: a milestone birthday, a baby shower, an anniversary, a surprise. These nights carry the same emotion as a wedding with almost none of the planning, which is exactly why live music changes them so much.
Birthdays are the celebration people underestimate most. A fortieth, a fiftieth, a sixtieth, a surprise party for someone who insisted they did not want one. The moment I am asked for most is the entrance of the person being celebrated, and the second is Happy Birthday played live on violin while the cake comes out. It takes ninety seconds and it is the clip that ends up on everyone's phone.
Baby showers are the other celebration families ask me for again and again, and they ask for something different. The afternoon is softer, the guests sit closer, and the whole room is waiting for one person. The violin turns her arrival into an entrance and fills the room while the gifts are opened, never louder than the conversation. And if there is a reveal, it gives that moment the few seconds of suspense it deserves.
These celebrations are also where I have the most freedom, because there is no timeline to protect. Some nights end with lights and cold sparks. Others end with everyone singing the same chorus.
- The WelcomeWarm, low, never competing with the conversation.
- The Grand EntranceFor the birthday guest of honor, or the mother-to-be arriving at her shower.
- The RevealAt a baby shower, a few bars of suspense before the whole room finds out.
- The Cake and the ToastHappy Birthday played live, and the song that belongs to them right after.
- The FloorElectric violin over bachata, disco and modern pop.
Often chosen: Sway, La Bachata, September, Can't Stop the Feeling
He showed up on time and with a great sound and lighting system. He was engaging with my guests and played a diverse array of music. I was blown away. I will rebook and I highly recommend him.
Something Else in Mind
If It Matters to You, It Deserves Music.
If your celebration is not on this page, tell me about it anyway.
